What is a Private Investigator?

A private Investigator is, simply put, a private contractor that is available for hire to conduct many different activities on a person's behalf. These activities, or Services, can be viewed on the "Service Offered" tab.

Why would I hire a private investigator?

There are many reservations people experience when considering hiring a private investigator.  In many cases, the individual may just want to conduct an investigation by themselves. Or, it could be that they choose to contact law enforcement for a specific scenario (Child Custody, Suspected Drug Activity, ect...). But there are times when it seems more plausible to hire a private contractor. Law enforcement these days have their hands full, and may not be able to follow up on the investigation as quickly as you may want. This is when a private investigator comes in handy. Most of us are not peace officers, however.

There are a few advantages that a private investigator has over law enforcement. While a private investigator can operate relatively independently and freely during an investigation, police officers must follow the "Color of Law" in respect to the U.S. Constitution. Whereas a police officer may not take action without a certain level of probable cause, a private investigator may move and operate just like a regular citizen.

In order to hire a private investigator, it will cost you some of your hard earned money. However, it is important to keep in mind that the investigator is working for you. He/she understands that you are paying them good money to investigate a case for them. Therefore, he/she will be working with the motivation in the back of their mind that you have invested your hard-earned money into them to do their best.
